I've been thinkin' about you tonight
And how many people have been you before
Just one replaceable picture frame
In my memory, none of you stay with me
I simply erase and replace
Anytime its convenient

So if I go another week,
Another year, another month
Its all the same here
So if I go through another bottle
As I think of my new role model
For what I'll shape myself to be
This time next summer
Its no big thing

I've been thinkin' about me tonight
And how destructive I've become
I've lost, broken, and burned
Little trinkets that told our stories
Reminders that remembered for me
But I can get new ones
With my new friends
I can replace and reline these shelves
Once again

So if I go another week,
Another year, another month
Its all the same here
So if I go through another bottle
As I think of my new role model
For what I'll shape myself to be
This time next summer
Its no big thing
Its nothing, really

So I've been thinking about us,
And all we've done
There's one thing, I just can't regret
Is that I got rid of you
I learned not to need you
Learned how to go and move on again

So I've been thinking, about us
And all we've done
And how we're all over
Now its just one thing, I can't resolve
One circular problem

Someday somewhere,
Sometime not so soon
The moon will align with the stars
And I'll have gone through every person
Alive on this earth,
And your face will come back into focus

There in that moment, that crowning day
I'll have to look into the eyes of a saint
And say I'm sorry
I'll be dependent again, yeah some day when
I've sorted through all these people

But until then,
We can't be friends
We can only be over
